I am never right and alone in a crowd.
I tell myself that I should not care, yet still I do.
So, I will simply behave as if I don't. This is my space and I shall use it as such.
Welcome to my world.

One is never right to be in a crowd, because the crowd is never right, Alan.
You, as that wonderful 'lone ranger', are right so often you 'scare me' - impress me, and make me glad to have you as a friend.
Last night I got the nuttiest e-mail from a female; screaming and yelling at me that to share information about what the Republicans are 'up to', is not being true to my intent to vote Obama. She warned me about the right-wing nut-cases, and I'm thinking what a left-wing nut-case she is.
Strangely, I'm a die-hard independent; only because I didn't find the strength/support of a decent percentage of voters behind Ralph Nader (the only one I thought made sense), I decided to pick from one of the two candidates who do stand a chance of being elected.
I could never vote for McCain - regardless of his party affiliation, but I still keep my EYE ON MACCAIN because I need to know where the next 'dirty trick' might come from and what he's doing.
Anyway, this idiot broad who wrote me feels that's like hanging out with the enemy. My reply was 'always give the key to the thief' - in other words, I want to be as close to my enemy as possible so I have the best chance of thwarting any attempt he/she makes in fouling up either my life, or the lives of those I care about.
Years ago I acutually did give the 'key to the thief' - a key to a bond box, and the right to open it. It was very helpful later when we took this 'thief' to court; he did sign a false name on the card, but his hand-writing was what identified him (and of course he had to admit he had the only other key; me having the primary one).
I guess this female who ripped my butt scares me because she might represent the majority 'out there' - that scares me when I realize how ignorant the masses can be.
So, dear friend, STAND ALONE - and BE RIGHT AS RAIN, because nowadays 'right' is often more in the eye of the beholder, than right is truly righteous.
Nice new blog - going to add music to this one too????
I completely understand supporting the lesser of two evils in a swing state. I am faced with the same dilemma. However, I have made my decision to follow my heart and let eternity figure it out. I cannot support either of the TWO. Though, I admit that I feel the blue will cause the least amount of suffering.
As I look around me and judge the folks who live here in Big Mo I am faced with the reality that they are too bigoted to vote "blue". They won't admit it. But I know that when they go into the voting booth they will not be able to vote for a "other than white". It is just who they are. And this is a bit scary as the pundits call Missouri a "Bell Weather" state.
So, I won't waste my "voice"-vote on the status quo. I want the Secretary of State Office to KNOW that there is a social anarchist "green" resident in their fascist little utopia. I feel that this alone will give them an indication of which way the wind is blowing.
I will continue to attempt to "inform" and educate those around me. Exposure is the first step toward transformation. I will continue to offer FREE copies of "The Teachings of Buddha" I will print and offer Marxist literature. I will continue to point out the fatal flaws in the greed based, consumerist, monetary system.
I will continue to be me.
I haven't decided yet whether I will put music on this blog. It can be distracting and an impediment to those who are still stuck with dial up. The Heartland is not as "connected" as one might suspect. Though, I would venture to say that 50% of the folks in a 100 mile radius don't even know how to turn a computer on, let alone invest in a broadband connection.
Until the next time,
I Am Never Right
